The space shuttle Atlantis, streaking through the Earth’s atmosphere during re-entry, was photographed by the Expedition 28 crew of the International Space Station, on July 21, 2011. Atlantis, the final space shuttle to ever go into orbit, was on its way home for the last time, landing in Florida later that day. Each of the shuttle orbiters are now undergoing decommissioning in preparation for being placed on public display. (NASA) #
